Computer as a situating Tool

Image
Computer as Situating Tool we have experienced some of the situating application through various activities such as simulation on surgery, teaching and learning simulation on different subjects. From different example of simulation, we had done the simulation on surgery, Mathematics, Science and biology. It has got different benefits for teacher and students as its open up all sensory of a child/ teacher. On top of that it allows us to experienced realistically . Its pursuit user to situate himself/herself in the environment, best strategies to comprehend every concept through process and steps of different subject given in the simulation. It motivated us to teach creatively for students using simulation and it also help students to build up their sense of creativeness in learning for various subjects. We have learned different types of simulation. From that i like all the simulation because it draws our attention physically, interactive and it situates us the procedure, and situ...

Computer as constructive Tool

Image
Computer as Constructive Tool We learned some of the application which can be converted the passages into visual or graphic organizers. For example, the concept map was found to appropriate especially to me as it has got quality to summarize all the concept and ideas into a diagram. It was also convenient to sequence every point to retain a longer period of time. We had read the description of a cow and we tried to put that description into a concept map. There I found that students will be helped to connect the different ideas, in comprehending the passage and relating the one idea to another. On top that it enables students to learn realistically because through simulation we can experiment all the task in various subjects (science, mathematics, astrology, etc.). We get the opportunity to explore some of the simulations and it helped me expanse my understanding of the benefit of ICT as constructive tools. I was a bit worried in this simulation because it has got high chan...

ICT as co-constructive Tool

ICT as co-constructive Tool Computer as a co-constructive tool made us active in the class because through Google docs we could construct a lesson plan in a group. It was also found to be convenient for the teacher to assess how many members have participated in an activity or not. Using this application every member in a group got opportunities to share their views while planning a lesson plan on a science subject. Moreover, if one of the members makes mistakes, other members can edit immediately. This was the amazing experience I had because we didn’t know before as and when we do a group activity. I felt that it would be taught in the first year so that we could have used this application to discuss any kinds of task. On other hands, Google docs lead us to mismatch every view of a member and it irritated us when one of the members goes on and on editing. At the same time, different members provide different opinions and we confused to whom we should listen and accept the p...

The Computer as Communicative Tools

Image
Computers as Communication Tools I have learned that computer is the medium to communicate with people, of any subject, and at any time. It is the fastest way to address messages in different areas within a short period of time. For educational purposes, I usually use Gmail and chats for the discussion and if another person is not online we are able to remind them with another alternative tool through calls and messages. But even if that doesn’t work, it is taking a long time to communicate. I experienced one of the amazing aspects of the computer is, at one go everybody can plan a schedule and we are able to mention the roles of each person. If communication is to happen between teachers, student, and peers, the proper sites, time and topic must be texted so that every member will get ready for the discussion. When we have an online discussion, some of the challenges I have faced were, concluding the ideas of different participants are difficult, lots of interruption, and it take...

Computers as Informative Tools

The computer as Informative Tools When I compare the degree of learning between formal teachings and exploring through the computer, I have experienced the learning through the computer is much better. It is because when we use the computer, all our five senses are applying to grasp the information. For example, if we want to browse on about a flower, it displays us with the picture, descriptions, and videos at one go whereas informal teaching, to teach about flower need certain time and learning may not remain for a long time. But through computer learning remain continues as we have experienced by our senses and at the same time, it breaks the monotonous of the teaching and learning in a class. I have learned, how to plan a lesson and teach students using a computer. And it was exciting that every instruction must be kept ready for the students to explore. But as per Bhutanese time table in school has got maximum 40-50 minutes per period and I really concern about the time beca...
